MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides accurate and timely farm accounting services to a portfolio of customers.
Services may include depreciation, payroll, bill pay, cash and accrual statements, enterprising, and full-service accounting.
Educates farm accounting customers and branch co-workers on the importance and effectiveness of timely and accurate reporting.
Provides technical assistance to new and existing customers, participates in one-on-one customer product education, and communicates effectively with customers.
Instructs branch co-workers in the interpretation and use of farm accounting statements.
Develope consultative selling techniques and collaborates with Loan Officers and Tax staff to understand and demonstrate the AgCountry integrated package of financial services – specializing in farm accounting – to new and existing customers.
Works with supervisor and the AgCountry Education Department to maintain and continually expand knowledge and expertise in accounting.
Adapts conventional accounting and record keeping functions to comply with AgCountry processes and procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business field or equivalent work experience.
Up to two years of accounting or other related experience
Knowledge of the agricultural industry
Knowledge of farm accounting
Attention to detail
Solid analytical, time management and organizational skills
Solid interpersonal skills
Verbal, listening and written communication skills
