Full Job Description: As a Recovery Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in the recovery process of our clients.
Your responsibilities include facilitating recovery activities, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
You'll coordinate administrative tasks related to client care and represent the treatment staff, maintaining a visible presence within the unit and ensuring the safety and accountability of clients.
Responsibilities:
Support and facilitate client recovery activities and groups.
Assist clients with daily activities and de-escalate any problematic behaviors.
Regularly update client records and complete administrative duties.
Provide necessary supervision, redirection, and transport for clients.
Serve as a positive role model, engaging with clients, children, and families compassionately.
Conduct room and vehicle checks, administer medications, and perform drug tests.
Ensure building security, including setting alarms and conducting wake-up rounds.
Participate in the intake and discharge processes and facilitate visiting hours.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Current CPR, First-Aid, Shaken Baby, and SIDS certifications.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Familiarity with using computers and electronic communication tools.
Preferred experience with chemical dependency and mental health disorders.
Understanding of client rights under Minnesota Statute Section 148F.

Frequent communication, reaching, repetitive tasks, and mobility.
Ability to lift children up to 60 lbs.
