JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative assistance within established policies and procedures to the Director, Workplace and Patient Diversity and supports Cultural Competence and Health Equity and Interpreter Services projects.
Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in a related field required.
3 years experience working in a professional office environment with advanced administrative skills.
Experience with office procedures, office machines, and audio-visual equipment required.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
Assists Director, Workplace and Patient Diversity with assigned projects and daily department operations.
which includes but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, development and maintenance of databases, tracking, reporting, filing, handling of mail, meeting preparation, scheduling meetings, and follow-ups.
Provides assistance to Director, Workplace and Patient Diversity and direct reports as assigned.
Enters data and prepares reports for Diversity Committees and other committees as assigned.
Acts as liaison between the Director, CentraCare Health employees, organization departments, community partners, and members of the community.
Assist in coordinating department event both internally and externally within the community as needed.
Assists Employee Resource Groups with meeting management, assigned projects and community events.
Responsible for typing memos, newsletters, spreadsheets, forms, reports, handouts, and other records, as well as providing back up for answering phones and providing clerical support in the Workplace and Diversity Department.
Take minutes, develops agendas, and distributes to appropriate committees and teams.
Obtains information and analyzes it for appropriate inclusion in reports.

Coordinate Workplace and Patient Diversity programs as assigned including planning with content, setup of classes/meetings, registration of attendees, facilitation of class/meetings, and completion of necessary paperwork such as reports, rosters, and certificates of attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Education and experience in workplace diversity programs preferred.
Experience with MS Publisher, Pathlore (or similar LMS), and Survey Pro.

Competent with public speaking.
Proficient computer skills with high accuracy required, plus good numerical abilities.
Proficient with taking meeting minutes required.
Expertise with the following programs required: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word & Power Point).
Professional verbal, written and organizational skills are required.
